I really enjoyed this unique mystery, setting, and little mouse of a sleuth! Little person, Trixie – when she is not up on the back of her horse, Prancer, and circling the center ring under the Big Top as the world’s smallest Lady Godiva – can be in many places and no one even sees her. That’s fine with her: she’s mega shy and has issues from her childhood. But when she accidentally sees a fresh murder victim, things get very dangerous for her. She has two new friends, but she wants to be brave and find the killer herself. Will it be “curtains” for her before she figures it out?
Cirque de Slay is a fun mystery. It was fascinating for me to learn what goes on behind a circus Big Top. I recommend this quick read! (And also the second book in the series, Big Top Treachery.)
